TURKIET september-october 2008

I arrived to Turkey in August for stay intil end of October.
The very first thing I do there is to go to the beach. Here I met a good friend.

Isnt it wonderful on a hot day to cool off with a bath.

This friend I have had since 1996..

In evening Im spending time in Alanyas many cafeteria.
Here I just have been servered Capocino and a cake.

Among all years I have been in Alanya I have learn a lot of folks.

This friend is avery nice one, working at the Damlatas street.

Here Im sitting in the house of Ramazan, with all his child and good cooking wife.

One day I went with Mehmet and his son on a trip to Manavgat, there is a big river.
Its a good thing to do in a hot Turkish day.

On the way back from Manavgat to Alanya, we did a break for shopping vegetables from this woman.

Thouse kids was giving a helping hand at the market place.

The dogs situation is terrible in Alanya! Ingrid became so sad and dont want to go back there any more..
2009 this article was writing in a Alanya newspaper how "some" hade poisened 5 doga and one pregning cat.

But with thouse folks in Demirtas the dogs had a very nice life. Both muslim women and man are treating them close and carefully.

This aa woman I know in Alanya, she has a farmerhouse outside of Alanya for her cats. She and her son helps many wounded cats and ill treatened.

Thouse cats belongs to Mehmet Ergun who have a house for cats up in the moutain in Demirtas. He go there every day giving them food. He has also bulit a house for them, and there is a small river there.

Again a very nice bath and its warm in Turkey so one must cool oneself off.

At the end of my staying in lanya I was visiting my old and dear friend Kerem. Here all of us sitting and waiting for the dinner to take place. At the floor Kerems brother holding Kerems youngest child. The man In a white shirt is Kerem.

JULY-AUGUST 2008

Here i am on my way down to europe in my caravan.

behind me you can see the lovley danish country side.

Our cat EC & IP S* Halifax Zelda was ofcourse with us on our journey.

Oh! by the way as always my 2 sweet dogs was with us!,We just woke up after a good night sleep in my caravan.

Our trip was very nice.

Here we are after just woken up at Haindau camping in Germany.

Zelda loved sitting, and gaze at the roof.

We wanted Ayla and Mehdi to sleep at the floor, but nooo, while we were sleeping they jump up in our beds.

At the camping we stayed in Holland, Groningen there were for our cat Zeldas pleasure and satisfaction a lot of wild rabbits.

At the camping we met a nice Dutch man, here we drinking coffe with him.

when we where in a city called Groningen we found a turkish resturant.

Groningen was surronded by beautiful parks.

When we came to Lubeck in germany we asked a man who was little bit drunken but he showed us the right way!.

When i decided to go for a drink my dogs had to stay home in the caravan in the evening.

A cold beer in the summer night, could it be better?.

Again a cold beer and a surperb kebab in germany.

Here i am at a JAG´-party and the theme was halloween!

One day i went SLU with my dog.She's giving blood to other dog's to help if they are sick.

This is Christina she's a dentist and i was there to give her information about JAG.

I took an whole week off to join an event of culture. One of the leaders was Katharina Kåberg.Its was areally nice week..

And then i went down to the beach to just relax for a while...

and it was so nice!

To feel the sun, watch the sea and just enjoy life...

Turkey in may 2007

I went to turkey on a windy day in may.I went with a couple of my friends and here we are about to leave sweden.

In the beginning of my first days in alanya i visit my old friend Yilmaz.He is also my hairdresser so ofcourse he did my hair when i was visiting him in his salon!

In the morning at the hotel we did a really nice breakfast with strawberries and yogurt mmm yummie...

One of the finest coffeshops in Alanya is Sal Pastahanesi with wonderful cakes and biscuits and ofcourse the serve the best coffe!my favorite coffeshop!

A really good night out with my friends wich was started with a superb dinner in a cozy resturant!

Here is a place called "the Halls" in Alanya where you can find all kinds of food and vegetables and fresh fruits!

Oktober 2006

In October I was at home in Sweden working, but it wasn't just work for me this month.

One day I went to visit a Turkish friend, Ilker and his cat Zeitinbey.
Ilker gave me a lot of delicious food.

As I wasn't home in September, I had to buy a lot of groceries.

In the end of October I was at a party at Brukarkooperativet JAG.
Here I've put on some make up. Handsome, huh??

It was a nice and fun party.

September 2006

In September I went on vacation to Alanya, Turkey together with two of my assistants. It was two great weeks! Sun, the ocean, good food and meeting a bunch of friends of course. Alanya really is a lot of fun!

We lived in an apartment hotel and this is the lovely view we had from our balcony. You could even see the ocean!

It was warm and sunny in Alanya of course. It was nice to sit on the beach where there was a cool breeze. Here I'm saying hello to my friend who works with renting out chairs.

It's pretty cheap to shop in Alanya. Here I'm getting help with trying out a pair of sandals.

I'm visiting a friend who works in a clothing store.

I know this guy from the clothing store, too!

Here is one of my favourite restaurants in Alanya. The ones who work here are very friendly. When we ate here we got a rose and when we were walking home we gave the rose to a very old man resting on a bench. He got very happy and surprised.

From this man I bought delicious olives that I brought home to Sweden.

It's great to be in the ocean!

I've known this man for quite some time. He works with selling jojos.

Here I'm in the Damlatas cave, it's a pretty cool experience.

I also went up on a mountain to watch some old ruins, but more important: the beautiful view you have from up there.

This nice woman is also my friend, I've known her for several years.

August 2006

This month I haven't gone on a long tip, but I will soon! I have booked a trip to Turkey and I'm going on September 17. I will be in Alanya for two weeks together with two of my assistants. It will be fun! You'll see pictures from my Turkey trip in the next update.

Here I was downtown in Uppsala. I went into a café to grab something to eat.

Me and my dog Ayla go for a walk in central Uppsala.

On my walk I also donated money to the homeless.

One day I went to Nora, a small Swedish town, to visit a friend of mine.

Here I was at the vet's with one of my mom's cats. We've known this veterinary for a very long time!

Outside our house there was a yard party! With a circus, animals, pony riding, music, dance shows and more... I was there, of course!

July 2006

In the beginning of July I went to Visby on Gotland. It was during "Almedalsveckan" (the Almedal week) when all the leading Swedish politicians come to Visby.
I went together with my assistance cooperative "Brukarkooperativet JAG".
Together we wanted to make sure the politicians don't make the conditions worse for us who have personal assistance. We did a very good job!

One day Lars Ohly, the leader of Vänsterpartiet (the Swedish leftist party) had the opportunity to meet me and other members of JAG.
He said it was very interesting. Here we are on a bench, talking for a short while.

The weather was great when we were in Visby. Here I am in the sun with my friend Sina.

It was very hot, so it was nice to take a bath.
Here you can only see my butt sticking up from the water surface!

On night JAG had a party with a live band that played great music all evening.
To the right you can see me on the dancefloor!

Here I'm at home in Uppsala again. During the summer I have grilled a lot on the yard outside our apartment building.
Here I've invited my friend Zerin for some hotdogs.

It's nice to have some coffee on the balcony when I have guests.

Here I am making cupcakes in my kitchen. You have to have something to serve when you get company!

My friend Apo from Turkey came to visit. He made a lot of delicious, Turkish food in my kitchen.
I had also invited some of my friends and they all thought the food was great.

Me and Apo have known each other for a long time.

One of my mom's cats has just gotten a new litter of kittens. Here you can see one of them. Isn't it cute?

June 2006 In June I went to Norway, Arendal.

First we had to go by boat from Strostad / Sweden. Here we resting close to the water.

In Stromstad we also had sonting to eat, but some birds stole my food direct from my hand.
My dog was also as the birds very hungry.

Here we gave Ayla Hot Dog to eat.

After that meal for both dog and birds we went on board the boat.

Here we has arrived to Arendal and to our hotelroom.

And here Ayla went to sleep at the very two beds!!!

Just outside the hotel I found a very tasty Kebab.

May 2006 I spent the entire month of May in Turkey.
I was in a place called Alanya.

Here I am cooling off on the beach.

I like to take a bath in the ocean.

In Turkey I ate a lot of delicious food, like in this picture.

My childhood friend Kerim visited me together with his wife Öznur and son Ferhat.

Kerim and his family are great people.

I've gone to this hairdresser for many years and he is now a good friend. Here he is giving me a cool haircut.

Me and my mom have known Haydar since he was a kid. Here I am visiting him in the store where he works.

I visited Kerim and his family at his home.

Kerim's son Ferhat is a very cute and curious little boy.

Here I am with Mahir who has a very nice restaurant on a mountain. He picked us up and brought us up there with his car.

This is the beautiful view from Mahir's restaurant. You can see almost all of Alanya.

My mother loves cats and of course she wanted to take a picture of a cat we met. There are many cats in Alanya.

This boy came up to me and wanted to give me a flower.

In Alanya there's an "Aqua Park" and here I'm riding one of the fastest water slides.

Being in Turkey is excellent!

An evening at home after I'd returned from Alanya. I had made coffee, Zoegas of course. Johan, a friend visiting me, suddenly says: "John, you must go for the navy". Apparently he thinks my new look is like that.

April 2006 Everything nearly happend in the world come to us at a very rapid pace. As so did the news that a boy named Bobby had been very brutality murdered.

A hugh grief came over us, my mome and me, also we become very angry to what happened to Bobby.
Maby more becuse of Bobbys handicap, he was like me, suffered from Autism.

As Im in Turkey this month mother phoned me and told we are going to send roses to Bobbys funeral. In the same time we also support the association against violence to children.

Dear Bobby, if we had met Im sure that we had become friends.

However, see you among the angels.
